Track Bike Build Thread

Col s not really decided what to do with it yet or at least he hasn t told me yet.

Track bike build thread. Now i m thinking the way to go would be to buy an xr100 set up for flat track race it next season and in the meantime build up a larger bike for a faster class but take your time with it. The bike is madmanc s old daytona which he got 90 of the way to completing before losing interest and buying a fireblade. I squandered most of a racing season trying to get a bike together until i finally sucked it up bought a set up track bike before the final race. I ve built several bikes in various styles and applications but the stoke for this build might surpass any of my other builds.

Here is the brief so far. It s been waaay too long since the last garage build so to bring it back i thought we d change it up from the previous features which were based on private dwellings and showcase a garage built for commercial use. I think i made out like a bandit with all the spares i got with the bike and everything that was already done to the bike. The problem with the cranks tho is there are so many changes to each year as honda tried to dodge round the issue but never actually sorting the case hardening on crank itself the 08 and 09 have the same crankshaft unit with different main bearing shells and clutch upgrades to plates judder springs and.

The frameset is the core of any custom built bike and picking out the parts to finish the build is a matter of matching the specifications for each part of the frame and fork.
